Washington D.C. has been covered in snow and all I can think of in order to survive this winter is spring shopping! But what are the fashion trends of spring-summer 2019 going to be?
It seems the color “coral” is big this year, mostly thanks to the Pantone Color organization, which has selected “living coral” as the color of the year.

The significance of this color, according to the institute, is partly a reference to the earth’s coral reefs and their importance as an essential ecosystem. But also its presence outside the oceans and in our lives, both nature and man-made landscapes.
What’s interesting is that coral has been seen in many of the spring 2019 fashion runways.
Marc Jacobs and Fendi used the various shades of coral in many of their designs for spring 2019. And Chanel used a variety of pastel colors including this gorgeous gown pictured above.
And in the midst of all this Melissa McCarthy is looking beautiful in a coral dress – also by Marc Jacobs – as the model of InStyle’s February issue.
